Mr. Brassard’s Weekly Letter

St. Augustine School

“Following the way, the truth and the life of Christ”

Dear St. Augustine Family,

Starting Our Day

Our morning prayer assembly is always a great way to start each day. We are always so proud of the courage that the students show as they read the Gospel readings. Father Forcier and Father Brice always have enlightening remarks that the students can apply to their daily faith lives. Father Brice has made a great first impression in his first few weeks at our school in his knowledge and expression of his faith.

Frisbee Guy

Thursday we had a presentation sponsored by our Home & School Association. The assembly featured the world-champion frisbee performer, Gary Auerbach. He had visited our school two years ago, and once again amazed the students with his frisbee tricks. He also signed green & white frisbees which were passed out to the students.

STAR Testing

STAR reading and math testing will take place during the next two weeks for grades two through eight. The test takes less than one period each of the two weeks for each of those grades. There is not any preparation students can do and no reason to panic your child about taking it. The rest of the daily schedule will take place, and tests and homework will still be given. The testing will repeat in the same way in January and May with grades kindergarten and one beginning in January.

Until next week…

God Bless,

Mr. Andrew Brassard
