St. Augustine School
“Following the way, the truth and the life of Christ”
December 8, 2017
Dear St. Augustine Family,
This past Wednesday, our students in the early childhood grades sang in their Christmas concert. These students were well-prepared by Mrs. Simeone as they did a fabulous job singing uplifting songs. I would also like to thank Mr. Vallee for his great job in filling in for Mrs. Simeone at the concert and for her classes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Once again, the pageant, performed by Mrs. Stover’s second grade class, was fantastic with entertaining songs and dance routines. Ms. Natasha’s dance students also did a great job in their dance performance. Thank you to Mrs. Vescera and her students for decorating the stage and Mr. Stephen Romano who played the piano for our choir.
Congratulations to Mrs. McCurdy on the birth of her son, Liam Francis McCurdy, who was born this past Tuesday. I think that covers us for births for a little while.
We always want to be mindful of safety, especially at arrival and dismissal. Please make sure we follow the following guidelines below:
- Please make sure we all use the services of our crossing guard on Mt. Pleasant Avenue and not just cross ourselves at different points on that street.
- Please make sure we maneuver at extreme caution in the lower and upper parking lots at arrival and dismissal – making sure we are aware of any students who are walking to and from their cars.
- Please make sure we are always having children leave the cars on the sidewalk side and not in the line of traffic.
Thank you for your cooperation in these guidelines to help avoid any accidents.
Until next week…
Mr. Andrew Brassard
