Mr. Brassard’s Weekly Letter

St. Augustine School

“Following the way, the truth and the life of Christ”

                                                                                                        January 12, 2018

Dear St. Augustine Family,

Snow Days

Typical New England weather arrived last week with over a foot of snow and below zero temperatures. This week, there were fifty degree temperatures with heavy rain. It felt a lot better with those temperatures, and the students were even able to go out to recess a few days.

Trip to the Holy Land

On Tuesday, Father Forcier and a group of thirty -five parishioners, embarked on a trip to the Holy Land for ten days. Their travels will take them to the Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, and the Jordan River, among other stops. Father asked the students to submit any prayer intentions that he can take with him on his journey. We wish Father and his group a faithful and enriching trip and pray for their safe return.

Spelling Bee

Joshua Greenberg, (Grade 7), and Stephen Buco, (Grade 4), will represent our school in the Diocesan Spelling Bee on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at St. Mary’s in Cranston. Congratulations to both Josh and Stephen, and also to our runner up, seventh grader, Gabriella Paliotti.

Reminder: No school on Monday due to the Martin Luther King holiday.

Until next week…

God Bless,

Mr. Andrew Brassard
